Jonathan Eilbracht, Director of Strategic Programming Strong communities are built through collaborative relationships and shared vision. At the West Central Indiana Partnership (WCIP), that work is led by individuals who are deeply committed to connecting people and ideas across the region. Jonathan Eilbracht, Director of Strategic Programming, plays a key role in advancing that mission through strategic initiatives that support talent development, civic engagement and regional growth.
A Background Rooted in Community and Collaboration Jonathan brings a diverse professional background to the WCIP, grounded in both relationship building and regional engagement. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation and Sport Management from Indiana State University and went on to gain experience as a Direct Sales Representative with the St. Louis Cardinals. Later, he served as a Community Engagement Officer for Clay County with the Wabash Valley Community Foundation. Driving Strategic Programming Across West Central Indiana In his role as Director of Strategic Programming, Jonathan helps with the implementation of the West Central Indiana Talent Network, which includes initiatives such as the Intern Experience of West Central Indiana, Connect IN West Central Indiana, Civic Engagement Series of West Central Indiana and the Leadership Academy of West Central Indiana. In addition, Jonathan leads the implementation of the See You in Terre Haute Community Plan, working closely with regional partners to gather updates on key accomplishments and track the progress of local working groups. The Importance of Connection When asked about his favorite part of working at the WCIP, Jonathan points to the connections being made across the region. Not only the connections he has made throughout the region, but also those made between other leaders and community members across county lines. Great things can be accomplished when we work together and collaborate. That collaborative spirit is at the heart of the WCIP’s work and a key driver of its success. A Standout Success in 2025 One of the biggest milestones for the WCIP in 2025, according to Jonathan, was the launch of the Leadership Academy of West Central Indiana. After a highly competitive application process, 26 leaders from across the region were selected to participate in the inaugural cohort. Participants represented a wide range of industries, including healthcare, business education, nonprofit, banking, government, manufacturing and construction. It was great to see the interest in the program from organizations throughout West Central Indiana, and he is excited to see what the second year has in store. What Jonathan Wishes More People Knew About the WCIP Jonathan emphasizes that the WCIP is always open to listening and learning from communities throughout the region. The WCIP team will always make time to sit down with anyone throughout our region to learn more about your community’s priorities. Big or small, we want to hear about what is going on in your community and how the WCIP could assist those efforts. With team members traveling throughout the region each week, the WCIP is eager to connect and collaborate with partners who want to help move West Central Indiana forward. Favorites Around the Region Outside of work, Jonathan enjoys many of the things that make the region special. His favorite regional event is the Covered Bridge Festival, a tradition he and his wife have shared since high school. When it comes to local businesses, The Cottage in Clinton tops his list.
