Parke County Community Foundation Invests $240,000 in Community Projects

The Parke County Community Foundation (PCCF) awarded $240,000 to support two major community projects in Parke County. A $50,000 grant to the Montezuma Park Board will support the Wabash River Rail Bridge Trailhead project, creating a safer and more welcoming trailhead while expanding outdoor recreation opportunities. PCCF also awarded $190,000 to Parke Players, Inc. for renovations to the historic Ritz Theater, including roof replacement, exterior repairs and a new movie screen and projector. The funding is part of PCCF’s first round of Community Support Grants, made possible through Lilly Endowment Inc.’s Giving Indiana Funds for Tomorrow (GIFT IX) initiative.
