See You In Terre Haute
Community Plan
The See You In Terre Haute Community Plan provides a collective vision and long-term plan to develop a thriving and prosperous city, county and region in Terre Haute, Vigo County and West Central Indiana. The Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce and its Board of Directors, along with key stakeholders in every sector, are working every day to advance the major goals of the plan, halting population decline and reversing the trend of declining per capita personal income.
The work of the Community Plan falls under five pillars: Economic Development, Health, Wellness & Recreation, Infrastructure, Education & Workforce Development and Community Image & Identity. Launched in 2019, the See You In Terre Haute Community Plan has experienced a tremendous amount of success, with major accomplishments such as the first round of READI grants, the opening of the Terre Haute Convention Center, West Central Indiana Business Hub, the implementation of a food & beverage tax and advocacy to the state legislature on a variety of issues.
Funding for projects prioritized in the plan has exceeded $500 million, and every day more activity happens that moves the community forward. The Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce constantly evaluates the Community Plan's progress.
