Why regional collaboration matters

Many of the opportunities and challenges facing West Central Indiana extend beyond county boundaries. Workforce development, housing, infrastructure, childcare and economic growth all require coordinated solutions and shared investment.

By working together as a region, communities can align resources, reduce duplication, pursue larger funding opportunities and amplify their collective voice. Regional collaboration allows West Central Indiana to compete more effectively for investment while creating stronger outcomes for residents and businesses across all five counties.

building a regional culture

Successful regional collaboration begins with strong relationships and trust. The West Central Indiana Partnership works to bring leaders together through regional summits, planning initiatives, peer learning opportunities and collaborative projects that strengthen connections across county lines.

These efforts help foster a culture of regionalism: a shared understanding that the success of one community contributes to the success of the entire region. By celebrating accomplishments, sharing ideas and working toward common goals, West Central Indiana continues to build a stronger regional identity.
