Dewey Point Charlie Williams Overlook Dedication

The Vigo County Parks & Recreation Department hosted the dedication of the Charlie Williams Overlook at Dewey Point, honoring Charlie Williams for his early vision and advocacy in the creation of the Wabashiki Wetlands and the surrounding riverfront. The project was made possible through a strong community partnership, including support from Vigo County, the Wabash Valley Community Foundation, Wabash Riverscape and additional contributors such as Duke Energy and the Wabash Valley Audubon Society. The overlook stands as a lasting tribute to Charlie’s legacy and a place for the community to enjoy the beauty of the Wabash River.
