Riverside Commons Debuts as a New Gateway to Terre Haute's Riverfront

Vigo County officials celebrated the completion of the new Riverside Commons with a flag-raising ceremony on the site of the former Vigo County Jail, adjacent to the Vigo County Courthouse. The new public gathering space enhances access to the developing Wabash Riverfront and provides a place for residents and visitors to relax, picnic, and enjoy community activities. County leaders highlighted the project as another investment in community pride and quality of life for Terre Haute and Vigo County. The project was completed approximately $900,000 under budget, and the Terre Haute Farmers Market began operating at Riverside Commons on weekends starting in July.
